Sepik Region
The Sepik Region is named after the Sepic River which flows through it. The Sepik is further divided into the East Sepik and West Sepik Provinces. The Sepik Region contains nearly 80,000sqkm and has a population of just under a half million people. The Sepik River has a similar relevance to this region as the Amazon River does to South America or the Congo to Africa. This swampy region contains dense jungles and very few roads.
